On occasion, internships are also available in these additional areas:
 | Administration/Grants/Fund-Raising - Interns assist with various administrative tasks, such as
outcome based program evaluation, policies and procedures, and planning fund raising
events. |
The Youth Service Bureau is fortunate to have an AmeriCorps National Service grant As a
part of this, we are able to offer interns participating in this program an educational
award of about ~2,300 which may be used toward college tuition or repayment of student
loans. Recipients must provide 900 hours of service in the YSB program in which they are
offered an internship to be eligible to receive this award. Currently, most of the
students we are accepting for internships must be able to commit to this number of service
hours, which is more than the number of hours required by the university. This entails
being able to remain in the community beyond the end of the university semester into the
summer months.
Interns are supervised by designated program supervisors with additional support being
provided by program staff. Individuals who have successfully completed internships with
the agency are considered for employment as openings occur.
