The
DeClutter Program
Serves
families and individuals in need of assistance with cleaning and
organizing their homes to functional levels in order to avoid
eviction or loss of child custody. The DeClutter staff works with
the participants as well as a team of AmeriCorps and community
volunteers as needed to accomplish this task. Program services are
provided in the client’s home, at no cost to the family or
individual, and are strictly confidential. |

|
The goals of the DeClutter Program are:
 |
Promote
permanency
by avoiding
eviction and loss of housing; preventing adults and children
from being removed from their home or assisting in family
reunification. |
 |
Create
a home which is safe
through cleaning and organizing. |
 |
Provide
hands-on, concrete assistance
to families who are overwhelmed living in home conditions which
have become unmanageable. |
 |
Enhance family well-being
through growth in personal
development, self esteem, conflict resolution, and decision
making.
|
|
|
The DeClutter Program is funded by
Centre County Children and Youth Services
and
Centre County
Mental Health/Mental Retardation.
Primary referrals to the DeClutter program come through those
agencies.
Referrals from other sources are considered on a case by case basis.
